“SURF INFUSION” A NEW PRODUCT FROM BUMBLE & BUMBLE.                                                  Surf Spray has a new family member b2ap3_thumbnail_normal-6.jpg SURF INFUSION! It is less drying on coarse or color-treated hair types, and creates a smoother, softer wave," says Laurent Philippon, global artistic director for Bumble and bumble. "Many surfers already apply different oils to their hair before they hit the waves in an effort to protect their locks from sun and salt-water damage, and we felt it was time to bottle that." The crunchy, sticky texture of most beach sprays was a common gripe until dry sprays started hitting the market, promising that fresh-from-the-beach, messy look without the grit. With Surf Infusion, everyone can snag some surfer-chic texture or create a HOBO CHIC look this summer. Imagine That!b2ap3_thumbnail_normal-7.jpg

Marvin Gaye is having a comeback--but for some of us, he never really left

By Tai Moses

WHAT'S GOING ON? All of a sudden Marvin Gaye is everywhere. A-list stars crank out tribute albums covering the soul singer's greatest hits, Grammy-winning musicians acknowledge his influence, and his former label, Motown, regularly reissues special editions of his classic records. Not bad for a singer who's been dead 18 years.

He had a genius for using his voice to explore and telegraph infectious grooves, smoky sensuality or, in the case of his 1971 self-produced masterpiece, What's Going On, compassion and concern.

Musically elegant and politically radical, What's Going On was entirely unlike the bright, buoyant music coming off the Motown assembly line. It was the first album created by a black artist that addressed the social upheaval of America at the end of the 1960s: the Vietnam War, race riots, unemployment and poverty in the inner city, pollution, the assassinations of beloved leaders. The songs take the point of view of a Vietnam vet--specifically, Marvin's brother Frankie, who returned from the war with stories that horrified Marvin and kindled his social conscience. Frankie, in a sense, is the narrator, but the album is a spiritual self-portrait of Marvin Gaye. He said he wanted to capture the essence of the times and to past it on!b2ap3_thumbnail_AZAA8ADA-R652800-AEAEAGOFDM.jpgb2ap3_thumbnail_AZAA8ADA-R315724-AEAEAGOEDM-1.jpg

IT'S TIME TO SPRING INTO 2015' Click to see my fashion trends and specials.

Hair is one the the easiest and fastest things to change, for men and women. There is a lot of inspiration this spring, from the past to the modern sleek wet styles to the boho natural waves to embrace your natural texture. Or the low maintenance and sexy bohemian care-free looks to the polished or messy buns and braids.
Fresh new bob haircuts from short to long. This Spring there are still touches of the 60’s and 70’s on the fashion runways with big sexy blowouts creating the Marilyn Monroe or the Bridget Bardot looks updated for today life styles. So anything goes this spring and hair colors are rich. Think of adding some chocolate tones to your hair and some vanilla and carmel highlights and for darker hair shades of oxblood, auburn and copper shades for spring. No matter what your fashion sense or hair texture there is a look for you this spring 2015!
