'Stand By Me' singer Ben E. King dies!
We just lost B.B. King May 14th. And last month Ben E. King passed April 30th 2015 at the age of 76. "I'm deeply touched by the passing of my good friend and brother Ben E. King," fellow R&B hit-maker Smokey Robinson told the Times in an email. "There is another soldier gone."Ben E.King, born Benjamin Earl Nelson in North Carolina, moved to New York as a young man and quickly became entranced with the emerging doo-wop music scene. He began his career as one of many revolving vocalists in the Drifters, and his voice appears on the group's staple singles like "Save the Last Dance for Me" and "There Goes My Baby," which hit No. 2 on the US charts in 1959.
In 1961, after pursuing a solo career, he scored his first solo hit with "Spanish Harlem." Later that same year, he landed in the top 5 with "Stand By Me," the song for which he would forever be best known. That was one of the best songs from the early 1960’s and had a profound effect on many great artists. In the years since, the song has appeared in the Billboard
Hot 100 nine times, twice with King's version and seven by other artists including John Lennon who recorded he hit “Stand By Me” and gives us a unforgettable performance. May the two Kings rest in Peace!
In loving Memory of the King of Blues is Gone! Rest Peacefully. “The blues has lost its king, and America has lost a legend,” President Barack Obama said Friday in an e-mailed statement. “No one inspired more up-and-coming artists. No one did more to spread the gospel of the blues.”
B.B. King, who rose from poverty on a Mississippi Delta cotton plantation to become one of the most influential guitarists of the 20th century and an ambassador for American blues music, has died. He was 89.
He died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday at his home in Las Vegas, Nicole Coleman, a spokeswoman for the Clark County, Nevada, coroner and medical examiner, said Friday in a telephone interview. King said on his website on May 1 that he was in hospice care at home. With an electric guitar he named Lucille, King developed a signature style -- single-note solos, left-hand vibrato and bent strings simulating a human cry -- that beginning in the 1960s inspired a younger generation of blues and rock guitarists from Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck in the U.K. to Jimi Hendrix, Michael Bloomfield and Stevie Ray Vaughan in the U.S.
“I’m trying to get people to see that we are our brother’s keeper,” King said in “The B.B. King Reader” in 1997. “Red, white, black, brown or yellow, rich or poor, we all have the blues.” His music and style of blues had a profound effect on our generation. B.B. King and his Lucille touch our soul with his his emotional and passionate performances all around the world. The Thrill is gone... but you and keep listening to the blues keeping his spirit alive! Good night Lucille.

Have fun at the movies this Spring and Summer 2015‘ Imagine all the many types and categories of movies available. There is The Blockbusters and Drama, Action,Action-comedy, Satirical,Western, comedy,Documentary, Suspense,Thriller,Science-Fiction, Musical,Romance,Romanic Comedy, Period and more. The Magic at the movies is all about the director who may choose the angles and camera movements in a movie, while the cinematographer focuses on lighting and camera lenses or other technical aspects. The dynamics of this relationship can vary quite a lot depending on the particular skills of the director. There are many different ways for a cinematographer to affect the way an audience feels about a movie scene. Small changes in lighting, manipulation of the colors in the frame, and subtle adjustments of lenses and focus can all play a role in creating emotions. Sometimes the techniques of cinematography can be very flashy and noticeable, leading to movies that are notably unusual in a visual sense, but sometimes they are very subtle and naturalistic, often to the point where the audience doesn't even become aware of the visual manipulation. Enjoy the Magic of the Movies, and Imagine That!

Let me tell you how it will be
There's one for you, nineteen for me 'Cause I'm the taxman
Yeah, I'm the taxman
Should five per cent appear too small Be thankful I don't take it all
'Cause I'm the taxman
Yeah I'm the taxman
If you drive a car, I'll tax the street If you try to sit, I'll tax your seat
If you get too cold I'll tax the heat If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet
Don't ask me what I want it for
If you don't want to pay some more 'Cause I'm the taxman
Yeah, I'm the taxman
Now my advice for those who die Declare the pennies on your eyes 'Cause I'm the taxman
Yeah, I'm the taxman
The IHeart Radio Awards – Review
This particular awards show is for people just like you and me. We get to vote and we get to see who wins. Because this is a newer awards show you would think they would pull out all the stops. An awards show has big performances, a lot of dancing, comic relief and a lot of fashion. So what were we watching last night? At some points I thought we were watching the rehearsal.
The funny Jamie Foxx pretty much bombing on his comedic performance. So much so, he said it to the audience. He kind of made up for it with his performance but I guess I expected something bigger, something with a “wow” factor. I didn’t get that from any part of the awards show. Most performances were dull, the speeches were odd and all the built up hype just let me down.
However, I am very happy that Taylor Swift won for her song “Blank Space” and she also won for the best dance song “Shake it Off”. Congratulations Taylor and keep those hits coming. As long as we are on the topic, her performance with Madonna was pretty cool. Madonna looked hot as ever, in my opinion, and complimented by Taylor Swift made the duo look fierce. Another highlight of the show was by one of my favorite men, Nate Ruess from the group Fun., performing one of the best songs ever. His spirit, soul and all of his emotions come out in him when he sings. His passion is astounding and beautiful. I thank him for such an inspiring performance.
From Justin Timberlake’s half funny, half awkward acceptance speech for winning the Innovator of the Year Award, an awkward Jamie Foxx and a not so fashionable evening excluding Taylor Swift, Madonna and Justin Timberlake in a rockin’ blue suit made my viewing experience a bit disappointing. Yet I still look forward to next years show!
Hopefully next year there will be more umph to the awards show and blow us away.

“SURF INFUSION” A NEW PRODUCT FROM BUMBLE & BUMBLE. Surf Spray has a new family member SURF INFUSION! It is less drying on coarse or color-treated hair types, and creates a smoother, softer wave," says Laurent Philippon, global artistic director for Bumble and bumble. "Many surfers already apply different oils to their hair before they hit the waves in an effort to protect their locks from sun and salt-water damage, and we felt it was time to bottle that." The crunchy, sticky texture of most beach sprays was a common gripe until dry sprays started hitting the market, promising that fresh-from-the-beach, messy look without the grit. With Surf Infusion, everyone can snag some surfer-chic texture or create a HOBO CHIC look this summer. Imagine That!
Be healthy and creative and transform into a sleek hairstyle or a glamorous hip HOBO CHIC wavy look. For adding texture, use your one inch curing iron grab parts of your hair, making wavy curls just mid-shaft to the ends.
For long hair, create full loose ponytail or messy braid also use a headband or colorful scarf this summer. For protection from the heat use Bumble and bumble Invisible oil heat/UV Protective primer. It helps soften, detangle, de-frizz, ease styling and protect against breakage, heat-styling and UV Damage. Have a colorful fun and safe healthy 2015’
Marvin Gaye is having a comeback--but for some of us, he never really left
By Tai Moses
WHAT'S GOING ON? All of a sudden Marvin Gaye is everywhere. A-list stars crank out tribute albums covering the soul singer's greatest hits, Grammy-winning musicians acknowledge his influence, and his former label, Motown, regularly reissues special editions of his classic records. Not bad for a singer who's been dead 18 years.
He had a genius for using his voice to explore and telegraph infectious grooves, smoky sensuality or, in the case of his 1971 self-produced masterpiece, What's Going On, compassion and concern.
Musically elegant and politically radical, What's Going On was entirely unlike the bright, buoyant music coming off the Motown assembly line. It was the first album created by a black artist that addressed the social upheaval of America at the end of the 1960s: the Vietnam War, race riots, unemployment and poverty in the inner city, pollution, the assassinations of beloved leaders. The songs take the point of view of a Vietnam vet--specifically, Marvin's brother Frankie, who returned from the war with stories that horrified Marvin and kindled his social conscience. Frankie, in a sense, is the narrator, but the album is a spiritual self-portrait of Marvin Gaye. He said he wanted to capture the essence of the times and to past it on!
“WHAT’S GOING ON”...BY MARVIN GAYE
There's too many of you crying Brother, brother, brother
There's far too many of you dying
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today, Today
We don't need to escalate
You see, war is not the answer
For only love can conquer hate
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today, oh oh oh
Picket lines and picket signs Don't punish me with brutality Talk to me, so you can see Oh, what's going on
What's going on Yeah, what's going on Ah, what's going on
In the mean time Right on, baby Right on brother Right on babe
Mother, mother, everybody thinks we're wrong Oh, but who are they to judge us
Simply 'cause our hair is long
Oh, you know we've got to find a way
To bring some understanding here today Oh oh oh
Picket lines and picket signs Don't punish me with brutality C'mon talk to me
So you can see
What's going on
Yeah, what's going on
Tell me what's going on
I'll tell you what's going on, ooh ooo ooo ooo Right on baby
Right on baby

IT IS TIME TO SPRING INTO 2015!
Hair is one the the easiest and fastest things to change, for men and women. There is a lot of inspiration this spring, from the past to the modern sleek wet styles to the boho natural waves to embrace your natural texture. Or the low maintenance and sexy bohemian care-free looks to the polished or messy buns and braids.
Fresh new bob haircuts from short to long. This Spring there are still touches of the 60’s and 70’s on the fashion runways with big sexy blowouts creating the Marilyn Monroe or the Bridget Bardot looks updated for today life styles. So anything goes this spring and hair colors are rich. Think of adding some chocolate tones to your hair and some vanilla and carmel highlights and for darker hair shades of oxblood, auburn and copper shades for spring. No matter what your fashion sense or hair texture there is a look for you this spring 2015!
These are not just Fashion Week Videos, these are Works of
Art. Designers didn't stop at designing clothes this year but the runway sets
are out of this world. Ralph Lauren amazed the world with his holographic
story-like show, while Dolce & Gabbana took a leap forward from their
already sexy & lavish campaigns to show D&G in a new way. They
introduce a serious dark entertaining theme turning models into actors and
actresses. The set design and presentation should be a "this is how it should
be" runway show with them allowing us into their world of the backstage fun
they all have in preparation. Christian Dior wowed me with the layout of his
runway set but the most surprising show by Moschino was quite simple while the
models didn't need much of a set, they had passionate personalities that made
it a show, with roller skates! The next runway show I saw was from Elle. They have a lot of hot looks this year, please enjoy & as always...PEACE
This is the time where we all reflect on our lives and decide to make changes for the better. This is the time we make positive life choices and try to stick to them no matter what. I want to congratulate those who stand by their resolutions and applaud the fact they want to improve. Im right there with you.
This year is an absolutely wonderful year for change. Why not change your style a bit. LOVE FASHION! Try something new. Try out a new style, new colors, dress up or dress down for a change. In my opinion this month is the best month to experiment. Find your fashion style. With designers releasing a variety of new trends from comfortable to dressy, this is an opportunity to have some fashion fun!
While you're exploring your fashion sense dont forget to explore all the new make up companies have released. From bolder shades, wild eyeliners, new techniques for applying make up.......our faces are our playground! Please discover Revlons new line of BOMBSHELL, Cover Girls new wild shades by Pink, and even wet and wild are getting fierce. From Street Chic – To Glamorous Holiday Events – To a Quick Gift Guide – DGP Has You Covered
Throughout all my research for this fall & winters fashion trends I found the results to be new, refreshing with a BOMBSHELL look.
Street Chic Fashion: The layering trend is my favorite. With the flattering new cuts that are displayed on the wonderfully polished racks are at an all-time peak. You put your warm trendy thermal on, a bottom sloped sweater, a fashionable cable knit scarf and a leather jacket or must have winter coat to top it off. Match that with a pair of pleasing darkish jeans, a pair off the always trendy Uggs or some leather above ankle metal hardware boots and you got yourself one hec of an outfit. Trending heavily now, is to pair your ensemble with sneakers. Yes, I said sneakers. I highly suggest checking out the sneaker trend at Nordstrom. Very versatile to, being able to take on and off to change up your look throughout the day. Don’t forget to accessorize. Add on a groovy belt, a lot, or a little jewelry, a stylish New York influenced beanie, some fingerless gloves with a splash of color and you’re ready to roll.
This next Street Trend is a touchy one with me. Flannels. They have come a very long way from the standard flannel to the flannel with metal hardware snaps or buttons and they typical now come with a hoodie. I can picture that with a cute colored thermal underneath, a pair of jeans and sneakers. I just don’t know if I want to bring the flannel back. A little touch of the 1990’s wouldn’t hurt but let’s not revert to the old grunge days…….unless it’s totally cute.
The next trend I am proud to say is Real Fur. I apologize to all the people who are so strongly against the use of fur. But ladies we know a fur is a fur and it’s a staple for the closet. If you’re not used to the fur experience, might I suggest picking up a beautiful faux fur vest and or scarf. Not to mention beautiful fur is an instant jaw dropper. So ladies, if you want to make a grand entrance, add a little fur to your wardrobe. As for myself, I can’t resist the fur scarves, fur accents on shoes & accessories and the trending fingerless gloves with fur accents on the wrists. Those are my favorite accessories to play with, at least after my fur hat collection.
As we get into the glamour of Holiday Festivities, and with the New Year’s Eve expectations to look drop dead gorgeous, the glamour is amplified. This Winter is the Winter to be a BOMBSHELL. Eloquently rock the big Bombshell Hair, the “Red Carpet” dress, drip yourself in jewels, overdramatize the make-up & don’t forget the red lips. Hold your head up high and rock the BOMBSHELL look. Heads will be turning this Winter and into the spring of 2015.
As a special bonus I want to alert the loyal followers with some great gift ideas for the holiday season, or just because. Here is a list of some hot gift items that are for sure to impress.
Polaroid Camera… The new re-release of the Polaroid Camera is making a huge debut this season.
Vinyl’s made a huge comeback; Pair a favorite record with a new record player.
Technology; Stores are slashing the prices on technology so now is the time to get that special someone the technology they’ve been waiting for.
Gift Baskets; personalize a gift basket with their favorite make-up, skin care, hair care and a gift certificate to their favorite salon like East of Bali or The Marilyn Monroe Spa.
Theme your gifts; Create little gift packages of items from different eras.
Jewelry; with the new designs from some of the top designers, give the gift of bling. Try outlet stores for extraordinary inexpensive prices.
For clothing you can stay safe with the popular fur vests, boyfriend sweaters, unique graphic tees, infinity scarves, smart phone savvy gloves or a trending leather fur lined coat. You will be surprised at the low prices.
For that special someone in your life give the gift of something very personal. No matter if it’s a photo in a frame or a specific gift they desire, personalize it. Add your own touch to gifts by adding a homemade tag or card, autograph the photo, and place a special photo somewhere on the gift, even if it is just included in the wrapping. Personalization can make a normal gift into an awe inspired gift that the person can treasure forever.
Last on my list are gift cards. Of course they are not personal but you can make them that way. Some companies allow you to order a personalized gift card within 2-3 business days. You can also make it special yourself. Add a special note for why they are receiving the card; include ideas on how they can spend it. Wrap it up custom style to match the person who is receiving the gift and voila!
From DGP to you: HAPPY HOLIDAYS & WE WISH YOU HAPPINESS & INSPIRATION.
We would also like to thank our loyal followers for making this blog one of the top ranked blogs out there.
Keep posted as we will be posting away as we close in on the New Year! Imagine That!

1960's Fashion: Going Mod for Fall/Winter 2014
Fashion Trends: whether you want to follow them, ignore them, or rebel against them entirely, the one thing you can’t do is deny they exist. They are always there, inspiring, influencing and evolving. If you love something, wear it, and that goes for whether it’s a trend fresh off the runways or not.
The fall / winter 2014 trends are no different. Already on the shelves, and making their way into our wardrobes. We’re here to tell you what they are and offer advice on how to wear them – should you choose to. Fashion is your playground. We’re just showing you the latest toys.
Take inspiration from the playful side of the '60s in bold prints, bright colors and short A-line hems. This fall the evolution of the mod revival continues.
Trend Details: Luxe leather, gifting the ’60s silhouettes with a contemporary, daytime edge; expect the solid fabric to be shaping up anything in between frill-fronted shirts and A-line dresses, swingy skirts and boxy overcoats; Touches of fur for fall and winter; pair them with mini shift dresses and swing outer wear, or go for the full statement and invest in a soft-hued furry coat this season.
Additional Style Trend Information: Sport a classic modern denim look, with a blouse half tucked and heels to drool over, a classic blazer but this time accessorize 60”s style. Pump up your hair, leaving it a bit messy, Cleopatra your eyeliner, shine it up with pink shades of lip stick and don’t forget to pick up a pair of “cat sun glasses”. You can also wear a 60’s inspired head wrap, or go pick up a cool retro bag to tote all your new fall and winter make up. To sum it up, mix modern with a little 1960’s flair and you’re all set to go!
Don’t forget to mod up your makeup! Bright vibrant colors, or you may opt for pastels. Either way go heavy on the eyeliner and mascara. For the eyelashes you want to get the "butterfly" effect to make those eyes really pop! Get out there and enjoy sporting all the new fashion trends!
Peace & Love - Amy
Let me take you down because I’am going to... take a page of life and pass it on to you. I have been listening to some great early Beatle music before and after going to see ‘The Out There Tour” by Paul McCartney in San Diego.
I was deeply listening to the early recordings of the Beatles and feeling emotional and inspired. In my early days with my musical soul brothers we were turned on by the Beatles. We all played many hours of music and instruments together, I had a music room in my home in Vegas and played drums and every one would come over and jam together. Many of my mates went on to play music with other groups and play around Las Vegas, soul brother Ray a drummer also still jams up in the Pacific Northwest we are the only ones live from the early days. The two on the inside of the image of four. Now these words are even more emotional and powerful. On Rubber Soul “In My Life” John’s voice is so moving...There places I remember all my life ...though some have changed some forever not for better...some have gone and some remain. All these places had their moments with lovers and friends I still can recall...some are dead and some are living...in my life I’ve loved them all...Wow! Please Check out Revolver again and listen to Rubber Soul released on Dec 3rd 1965 produced by George Martin is regarded by fans and critics alike as one of the greatest Albums in popular music history! It's also full of firsts. Rubber Soul is the first Beatles album of their "middle period"; the first to fully explore soul, folk-rock, foreign pop, and soon after coming home from India a mystical sound the sitar by George Harrison use on Norwegian Wood was credited as raga rock, the first to exhibit a social conscience; the first to boost the drums; the first to be recorded on four tracks instead of two; the first to dig into the group's personal life, to forego covers, just a collection of recorded tracks, the first to remove the band's name from the cover. "Nowhere Man," not to mention deep cuts that became so ingrained in the public consciousness they may as well have been hit singles: "Drive My Car," "Michelle," "In My Life." But Rubber Soul remains what many consider to be the Fabs' first real classic album because it makes no compromises, revealing the band for the first time to be mature artists and not just a boy-band with fantastic songs. Indeed, over the years, this album's rep has grown so large, many critics now consider it more consistent, track-for-track, than even Sgt. Pepper or Abbey Road. "IN MY LIFE"
There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends
I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more
Songwriters: John Lennon and Paul McCartney
Foods That Help Make You More Beautiful
Time goes by very quickly, work, personal responsibilities and your personal life. Through the entire day it can feel like it went by in a few hours. With everyone on the go these days I thought I would introduce some snacks that can really make you feel good and if you continue consuming these snacks can really change your appearance to a more radiant you. So here we go, and if you can find other foods like these, go for it. Everything we put in our bodies shows on our bodies so it is time to make a small change in your diet while making yourself even more beautiful than you are already.
Carrots: Considered one of the most nutritious foods because they promote healthy
skin, teeth, and gums, have anti-aging properties, and can help cleanse the
body. They are also filled with beta-Carotene, which protects the skin from sun
damage, preventing wrinkles and spots.
Avacados: Loaded with over 25 essential nutrients and vitamins that act as skin antioxidants and can prevent free-radical damage. They are naturally rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help hydrate and soften your skin, as well as biotin, which helps prevent dry hair and brittle nails. Half an avocado will keep you satisfied and full. Just add a squeeze of lemon and a dash of sea salt for a little extra flavor.
Pumpkin Seeds: Magnesium and zinc-rich pumpkin seeds are a superfood that promotes eye and skin health. They maintain collagen and skin renewal and contain "good" cholesterol (HDL), which can help with joint pain and headaches in postmenopausal women. They are also known to stimulate hair growth and protect from pollutants.
Chia Pudding: Chia seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and antioxidants. They are also high in protein, which can decrease appetite and banish belly fat. If you want to make your own chia pudding, simply mix two-thirds of a cup chia seeds, two cups unsweetened almond milk, and half a teaspoon vanilla extract together. If you prefer store-bought, Stein loves a The Chia Co. Pod.
Greek Yogurt & Berries: Greek yogurt is full of "good" bacteria, also known as probiotics, which are essential for a healthy digestive track and boosting immunity. It also contains lactic acids, which hydrate the skin. Berries are rich in vitamin C and other antioxidants, which help diminish wrinkles, sagging skin, and discoloration. Berries also prevent toxins and free radicals from entering the body. Raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries are great options for snacks during the day, especially on top of yogurt.
Kale Chips: Kale is packed with nutrients, iron, vitamins, and minerals that promote healthy hair, making it stronger and shinier. Drizzling a little olive oil, sprinkling with sea salt, and baking kale leaves for five to eight minutes is a great way to get that crunch you might be craving at snack time in a healthy way.
Dark Chocolate: The flavonols in at least 70 percent dark chocolate will help your skin protect itself from UV damage, fight free radicals, and increase blood flow. They can also improve skin hydration and thickness. A piece or two of dark chocolate is full of copper, zinc, and iron, which promote the cell renewal growth process.
These minerals also increase oxygen and blood flow to the scalp, which leads to healthier and stronger hair. Plus, it's delicious.
Cantaloupe: One cup of cantaloupe contains a day’s worth of vitamin A and vitamin C, making it an ideal beauty food that promotes great skin and hair. It is also extremely high in water content, so it will keep you full and hydrated longer.
Almond Butter: Nut butters are a great source of satisfying fiber and protein, which can help keep
your body lean. They’re also packed with manganese and selenium, which promotes healthy, shiny hair. The vitamin E in almond butter can also help protect your skin from the sun's damaging UV rays.
Don't forget to excercise, drink plenty of water and just be BEAUTIFUL!
Out There – Paul McCartney "Yesterday"...
The anticipating crowds, the people flooding in the gates, the peace & love vibe rockin’ the masses, the smell of rock and roll in the air, the stage is set and the concert began....
You know the feeling you get when you feel like everything is in alignment and everything and everyone around you is contributing to this fortunate time? That’s the way I felt at the Paul McCartney Concert. From elder, middle aged, and fans that weren’t even a gleam in their parent’s eyes when the Beatles phenomenon began, flooded the Petco Park Stadium to a sold out audience of 42,000 people.
The concert was jaw dropping amazing. From Playing a tribute to John Lennon with a song he wrote and he also told a story about George Harrisons’ ukulele as a tribute to his powerful rock and roll side taking over the stage with pyrotechnics, fireworks, two large screens flashing reminiscent & modern imagery. This was a once in a lifetime experience. For a 3 and a half hour show, not to mention the four encores he played, Paul McCartney has still got it. To all of your hard core Beatles fans let me be the first (I hope), to tell you that not only does Paul gives you his own music and rock, but he takes you back to the days of peace, love and the Beatles. Wherever Paul is, so are the Beatles. Doug said the Beatles were magical they changed everything in music and fashion here there and everywhere!
We should all thank Paul for giving the world the gift of his music while still giving us the groovy gift of the Beatles. I strongly believe that music is a way of life of sorts. It can change your mood, feelings, emotions and more and man let me tell ya, it was all smiles, good moods, the feeling of peace and freedom and the wonderful energy feeling the music pump through your veins. I obviously give Paul McCartney’s Out There Tour a huge thumb up with a peace sign and a smile.
Men & Women’s Fashion Trends for fall 2014’, Your guide to Falling Back into Fashion.
As the bohemian-gypsy-aztec trend took over the Spring & Summer a lot of designers are keeping the “feel” of the fashion trend but changing it up drastically as well. Last year grey hit the runways hard, with some of the most refreshing prints and fabrics available. This year as we head into fall black & grey are trumping the runways, streets and everywhere else. But this year designers have added a bold element. The textures and finishes on this falls fabrics are absolutely impeccable. Smooth, sleek and velvet finishes paired with classic, plaid, striped or designed fabrics add the eye-catching look to your fall wardrobe.
The hot colors for this fall are vibrant, eye-catching, bold and beautiful. Gorgeous shades of blue are the primary fall fashion color. The next colors to trump the runways are in the purples, reds and greens. For the purple family deep purple, lavender and plum are really hot. In the red family we will see a lot of maroon/wine and classic red. One color family that can really enhance your wardrobe is browns. Dark brown will be sparse but caramel brown, tan and khaki are very popular, especially when it comes to shoes and accessories. You’ll see the greens such as emerald, dark and deep sea green and lastly, gold and yellow are making a sneak peak.
Top designers have taken menswear to a whole new level with all the accessories geared towards them. Menswear is sheik and sexy with overall black and or grey and accented with this Falls bold and vivid colors. Today, I think men may have more accessories than women! From phone covers and tablets to belts, scarves, hats, bags, shoes and jewelry, men have an endless selection of accessories to pair with their outfits. I would like to thank the designers for making our men so fashionably sheik and hot!
Women have it all this year. With such a wide variety of accessories to add or subtract from your wardrobe I am seeing a huge split. I am seeing women accessorized head to toe in all the falls brilliant colors or I am seeing women confidently strutting down the street in a traditional sheik classic look layered in black and or grey with unique & fun splashes of color. Its red lips or nude lips. Colorful nails with effects or simply nice and nude. Curled wild hair or slick and sleek. (With the Keratin Treatment trend a lot of straight and sleek hair is on the move.) Either way this fall Fashion Outlook is to drool over. On a more relaxed note, more casual and sporty attire is seen; leggings paired with flannels & fur-hooded coats or sleek jeans with sportswear layered tops, zip-ups and sports shoes. No matter what the look, this fall is smoking hot!

Give Peace a Chance & Come Together
Have you noticed lately that there is a “rude”, “mean” or just "off" streak coming from people everywhere? At stores, restaurants, boutiques, the Dr.’s, bookstores and even my favorite place for meditation. Try meditating next to someone who curses under their breath and you can feel their angry energy? It’s not very peaceful.
Is there some type of pill people are taking that makes them mean & rude? Or is it just rubbing off one another? I’ll tell you one thing, it hasn’t turned me. I have been on the receiving end but not on the rude side of things. I stay strong and treat people how I want to be treated.
What do we do about this? We begin with one person at a time. I want to see the LOVE, PEACE & HAPPINESS. I want people to start coming together again. It seems once we begin coming together we will start to see the Peace & Happiness begin to flourish like a beautiful flower.
No more wars, no more arguments, no more tears unless there happy ones. So everyone needs to GIVE PEACE a CHANCE & COME TOGETHER….RIGHT NOW.
We wish you all the best in starting another peace, love and happiness movement!
If you can, please submit how you feel about Peace and add a picture or two of what peace, love and happiness means to you.
I love all of you and wish you Peace & Happiness every second of everyday.
Peace and Love – Amy inspired by my Doug
Gypsy Spirit by Amy inspired by Doug Gordon
I am a true definition of a gypsy. At heart; in my mind…my way of life is Gypsy Style. To be a true Gypsy you must carry the Gypsy Spirit in your soul. The Gypsy spirit, to me, means freedom, a totally open mind, a true passion for what you do an open mind to learn and grow and a huge love for change.
The Gypsy also must be spontaneous, have the attitude of “why not”, a positive outlook on life and an appreciation for Mother Nature close to your heart.
Gypsys have fun. They stay in packs or go out solo feeling totally uninhibited. Gypsys travel, play music, and continue on to anywhere their Gypsy heart’s desire. Love, Peace, Freedom, Passion, Talent, Desire, Beauty and more is what makes up a Gypsys Spirit. It gives them life and a huge passion to live it.
Gypsys wardrobes have become a bit modern in a very good way. Layers upon layers, a ton of jewelry, especially bracelets, bright colors, bright spirits, and I believe every Gypsy is very sultry or seductive. Gypsys draw us in with only using their beauty, power, their whimsical spirit and the hypnotic beauty of their soul that shine through their eyes.
- Amy Radzik
Keep checking back as another Gypsy video is headed your way. This time it’s about the life of my inner Gypsy and of course my life of my outer Gypsy. The sultry, seductive, bright, dark, hypnotic eyes of the empowered Gypsy Queen Amy.
Doug sent this to me one day to inspire me, and it worked. Thank you Doug.
I would like you all to read some lines from “Divine Gypsy”, a poem by Yogananda:
”I will be a gypsy,
I will sing a song that none has sung
I will sing to the sky,
I will sing to the winds,
I'll roam, roam, roam, roam,
By day, the shady trees will be my tent
At night, the stars shall be my candles
And I will call the moon to be my lamp...”

To Tan Or Not To Tan...Imagine That!
A Quick Post To Teach You How And If You Should Tan!
Understanding How to Protect your Skin:
It is important to use a sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays, but what is the difference between the two? UVA rays are always present, no matter the weather or season and were once thought of as less damaging. However, we now know that these rays are very powerful and are one of the main causes of premature aging, sun spots and leathery skin. UVA rays deeply penetrate the skin and can also penetrate clothing and glass. UVB rays are not are strong as UVA rays, but they are the main cause of sunburns and skin cancers and thus are just as damaging, if not more damaging, than UVB rays.
UVB = Ultraviolet B, UVA = Ultraviolet A
Lotions: Did you know you can use a High end tanning lotion, get tan and not have to go in a bed at all? There is a variety of lotions to bring out your tan and here are some of my favorites: Cypher, JWOWW One and Done, Adore, Luminary, Elusive, Sexy legs, and more. Check out your local tanning salon to see what they have to offer.
While people are still in limbo; to tan or not to tan think about this: Being in the full sun all day with a medium SPF is more harmful then tanning in a bed. Here are some examples of my local tanning salons. The only place I go is iTan but I do check out what other tanning salons have to offer. I have listed a picture of the beds and a description of the level.
LEVEL 1 Our basic sunbed using low pressure tanning power.
LEVEL 2 This bed uses the highest amount of UVB for the best source of Vitamin D and to build your body’s natural SPF.
LEVEL 3 A tanning bed that uses a combination of UVA and UVB, which prepares your skin for bronzing in the higher level beds.
LEVEL 4 Bronzing bed that utilizes medium and high pressure tanning power.
LEVEL 5 A bronzing bed that utilizes high pressure tanning technology to give you a dark and long lasting color.
VersaSpa: The VersaSpa creates flawless, skin rejuvenating sunless results.
Mystic Spray: The Mystic gives a flawless and natural-looking spray tan for all skin types in just five minutes.
MagneTan®: The MagneTan® technology ensures uniform coverage over the entire body. The sunless tanning solution instantly transforms into a quick, natural-looking tan that continues to develop throughout the day. Enjoy a perfectly natural-looking tan in one session!
Another reason I love my local tanning salon is all the spa treatments they now have. Toning, skill regenerating, acne relief, hot beds and more. Here is an overview of the spa services:
SMART Tan: Uses new technology that calculates a personalized tanning session to help achieve a balanced approach to tanning.
Fit Body Wrap:The FIT Body wrap aids in the breakdown of fat tissue with the use of Far infrared (FIR) energy. This leads to calorie loss and reduces the appearance of cellulite. The FIT Body wraps apply heat to the body, which eliminates toxins and metabolic wastes by increasing sweat production. This can also lead to faster recovery of aching and injured muscles.
Lumiere Skin Rejuvenation: The Lumiére Skin Rejuvenation facial soothing system effectively removes fine lines, wrinkles and age spots while enhancing your skin’s overall appearance.
The Beauty Angel: The Beauty Angel Skin Rejuvenation reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and cellulite while stimulating circulation throughout your entire body.
The Hydration Station: The Hydration Station infuses your skin with revitalizing moisture, aromatherapy, heat and steam during this soothing spa experience. The Hydration Station provides natural moisturization, while boosting the effectiveness of nutrients in skincare products at the same time.
Teeth Whitening:The Teeth Whitening System utilizes UV light whitening gels to give you instantly whiter teeth. The process begins when you open the prefilled teeth whitening kit that includes all supplies needed to enhance your smile.
Aqua Jet Therapy: The Aqua Jet Therapy is an advanced water-driven massage system that gives you a relaxing massage in complete privacy.
Fun Facts About Tanning: 1 Fashion icon Coco Chanel popularized the suntan in the 1920s when she acquired a tan during a cruise. 2 A German medical company made the first indoor tanning lamp in 1903 to help patients with Vitamin D deficiencies. 3 In 1978, a German scientist introduced indoor tanning lamps in the U.S. after discovering the benefits of sunlight on athletes. 4 Yuma, Arizona receives the most sunshine of any U.S. city, experiencing sunshine for 90% of its annual daylight hours. 5 Juneau, Alaska, which receives only 30% of the annual possible sunshine, is the least sunny city in the U.S. 6 A century ago, sunbathing and tanning were only indulged in for health reasons, to cure or prevent diseases.
Amys' Favorite Lotions: Cypher, Elusive, Elixer, Anything by JWOWW, Luminary and they are still giving me newer lotions to try outside of the bed. Guess what ladies? It works. - Amy
Get ready for the Summer – Imagine That!
Quickly get in Shape
Zumba anyone? Seriously, I thought it was a joke until I tried it and couldn’t move for 2 days! Sure it’s fun taking classes with other people but get the DVD or the Xbox Kinect and you can shed pounds daily with this great interactive program. Plus you can choose to go at it alone or invite a few friends over to have some Zumba workout fun!
Like most of us, we have put on a few pounds, so now is the time to shed them off and perhaps turn it into your daily regimen.
My favorite tips and also the ones I implement daily are the following and I do this everywhere I go; running errands, driving, basking on the beach, work and more.
Always tighten your core. Tighten up that lower tummy in, keep breathing but keep tightening too.
Tighten your buttocks, especially when you walk. You not only get the effect off beautiful buttocks but it also helps your upper thighs.
Wear heels, or wedges. This helps builds muscles in your calves and upper thighs.
At home I do leg raises, side leg raises and a few squats here and there. I also do about 10-20 push-ups every morning and every evening. Shrugs are great for your shoulders and chest. Use elastic bands for more arm toning, upper back toning and chest toning. Wind down your evening with a few yoga poses and stretches, relax and fall sleep.
If you would like to get more advanced, invest in some work out equipment or go to the gym. You can even get free passes to the gym, try it out and pick up some more tips you can do at home.
To tan or not to tan
Many people are against going in a tanning bed and I understand why. One thing you should know is through the years tanning technology has become so advanced there’s really no reason not to try it. If you are completely opposed to a quick tan in the bed try getting a spray tan or better yet pick up some of the lotion that is sold at a tanning salon. The lotion works to get you a base tan until you’re as dark as you want to be but it also has a lot of SPF and UV ray protection and protective technology to keep your skin safe. Almost all of their lotions help regenerate healthy skin cells and is proven to tighten your skin and keep it healthy. Stay tuned for an upcoming post about my favorite tanning salons. They are not just for tanning anymore.
Make sure to keep your body soft and healthy by using your favorite lotion. Whether it is from a tanning salon or it is one of your favorite lotions…use it. It is very helpful to use a lotion that has SPF in it. If you wear make-up make sure you still use SPF lotion under your make-up. Even if the make-up says it has an SPF in it, we never know how much it will protect you so use the lotion under your make-up. DO NOT forget to really lotion up those hands and feet. Try a hand and feet soak weekly and make sure you maintain the regimen of using lotion daily.
Don’t forget to shave
Shaving has become a trend in more ways than one. So shave it up. Make sure you get rid of unwanted facial hair, bikini line, legs, arms (preference), chest for the men and anything else you think needs cleaning up. If you prefer to wax, try one of the well-known waxing salons all over San Diego County.
A new trend I am seeing on the streets is women who don’t work out but wear work out wear. Or woman that do work out and wear their work out wear everywhere. This year workout wear has spread like wildfire. You can practically pick it up anywhere. From drug stores and stores dedicated to work out wear you can now find workout wear at high end boutiques, through top designers websites and major stores and boutiques are coming out with their own lines of workout wear. It has become so common we now have more choices. So go to your favorite store and try out some work out wear for yourself. You can go the expensive route at such places as Calvin Klein, D & G, Ralph Lauren, Versace, and Chanel…need I go on? Or you can find cheap to middle priced wear at places like work out studios, Target, Sports Authority, Big Five and more. My favorite place that new work out wear has popped up is Tilly’s. We now don’t’ have to just wear black or neon to work out but we have all the choices in the rainbow. I also wanted to let you in on a little secret. If you get tight workout wear, the material they use helps your circulation therefore regenerating skin cells and tightening up your body. I recommend the basics; tight sports bras, the boy shorts underwear. Cute shorts, different color “Yoga” pants. Warm up and cool down tight zip ups or a different style of “jacket” or top shirt. Socks to improve circulation, a comfortable sturdy flexible type of tennis shoe and don’t forget to wear a cute hairstyle to sport you up.
In closing, I recommend facials, massages, seeing your hair stylist, preferably Doug Gordon from East of Bali, Tanning salon spa treatments, a massage here and there, keep your feet and hands clean and smooth, take good care of your teeth, pick up some workout clothes and equipment and do not eat. I’m kidding. Try to add more fruits and vegetables or actually eat those instead of little snacks of candy throughout your day. Make sure you keep snacks with you so you’re not forced to buy and eat a greasy snack. Carry around water at all times for hydration and keep a positive attitude. There are a lot of things that can bring us down but like the book says “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff”. I agree.
Brigitte Bardot born 28 September 1934 in Paris is a French former actress, singer and fashion model, now an animal rights activist. She was one of the best known fashion icon for her sexy image and free spirit in the 1950s and 1960s. She is still a inspiration to fashion and hair designers everywhere! She was ahead of her time and one of my inspirations to recreate her sexy hair and iconic look. I have done many photo shoots and made some videos creating Bardot hair styles and having fun with models to bring her image in present time. In fashion, the Bardot neckline (a wide open neck that exposes both shoulders) is named after her. Bardot popularized this style which is especially used for knitted sweaters or jumpers although it is also used for other tops and dresses.

“Now that Doug has given me the pleasure of speaking about myself, I absolutely agree with him on everything! Ha-ha. While working with Doug I realized I have so many marketing skills and certifications that if I began my own marketing firm I could really bring something to the table. So I did and AR Marketing and DGP Productions were born. Since the company began we have had much success with clients. We continue to grow into bigger and better productions and clients.
Working with Doug is a dream come true and I believe his work needs to be seen. During work hours he is Doug Gordon, off work hours he is DG; the super genius artist. He is constantly working on DGP Productions, as am I, to further our journey together. I have to be honest. I do not know what I would do without him in my life. He is my best friend, my partner, my inspiration and he is my muse. If there was no Doug, there would be no Amy and vice versa.
To sum it up so we can get back to what else Doug has to say here I go. I am experienced in a variety of areas; marketing, modeling, production, C+ certified in computers. I have exceled with photo and video editing, creating, and making visions a reality. I love coaching models, boosting their morale and bringing out there personality. The cool explosion of the top knot and fun buns is the way to put up your hair and is perfectly in tune with the the top fashion philosophy. Don't take yourself, or your style too seriously. We first fell in love with the ultra high top knot when Gwen Stefani twisted up her famous platinum locks and rocked the red carpet. Other ladies have since perfected the undone updo.
I will be having some fun twisting up hair on many of my clients and models doing free head shots. With a little help from the new Bumble & Bumble thickening dryspun finish. It creates instant fullness and holds with an airy texture! I will be doing hair & photographing many of my fun styles to make a few slideshows. THE Cool Explosion of the top knots and fun buns is the way to put your hair up, and is perfectly in tune with the top fashion philosophy — don't take yourself, or your style, too seriously. We first fell in love with the ultra-high top knot when Gwen Stefani twisted up her famous platinum locks for a red carpet. Other ladies have since perfected the undone updo.
This fall and winter I will be having some fun twisting up hair on many of my clients and models doing free head shots. With a little help from the New Bumble & bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish, it creates instant fullness and holds with a airy texture! I will be doing hair & photographing many of my fun styles to make a few slide shows so watch for the collection “Top Knots and Messy Side Buns" Part #1 Coming soon. Imagine That!Click On Photos

Thank you Gucci, D&G, Ralph Lauren and all the top men's designers in the world. Thank you for making our men look like works of art.
This summer we have been seeing some of the most interesting and hottest men fashion trends. Dapper, sexy, grunge and then some....Men's fashion is becoming just as big, if not bigger, than women's fashion. Thank you all you gentlemen who have been pleasing my eyes all season long.
Move Over Ladies - It's Time for Some Men's Fashion
Some say men have it easy but I disagree. With such a huge variety this season it is refreshing to see men inall these different looks. From the old school era to grunge and a whole lot of color, men have many fashionable options. This season we have stripes, metallics, bold colors, grunge, preppy, ethnic prints and more... This season the men's wear section is so fun, dapper and classic that there is something to wear for everyone. Have fun guys, you deserve it!
Men's Fashion Trends
Bright Bold Colors-Pastels -Stripes-Knit Wear-Preppy Cotton Blazers-Relaxed-Grunge Mix-Metallics-Tribal Ethnic Prints-White-Layering and if I am lucky... then me!
Men's fashion has been getting fearless
Two of the most appropriated fashion trends-grunge & prep can come together now more than ever. Two aesthetics can be mixed & matched to achieve a look that's all your own.
Knit Wear doesn’t always come to mind when we think of spring but designers offer light sweaters for the season. They are worn over shirts or on their own. Pair them with jeans or pleated trousers and some casual footwear.
Choose the bold stripes to make a fashion statement or opt for classic stripes. This is a versatile print that goes well with classic as well as contemporary pieces. A MUST HAVE!
One of this season’s most popular upcoming trends is the utilization of color. And it seems that one particular color has moved to the forefront: good old-fashioned blue and orange.
White Suits - Daring, Dapper and Divine
They have been all over the runways and we cannot ignore them. Trouser suits, short suits, suits with matching trenchcoats are all the rage for Spring/Summer 2013.
Dont Forget to mix in the hot metallics. Wear a full metallic outfit for a crazy night out on the town or opt for mixing in metallics to your established wardrobe.

What is Fashion to you? What style best suits your personality?
The answer should be whatever you are confident and comfortable in wearing. You can be a casual fashionista or a walking piece of era art.
This year we are seeing a whole lot of different fashions. I see people dressing in a 1920's modern style, 1950's-1970's modern style, and of course a lot of 1980's fashion. I have also been seeing a lot ofthe bohemian look the Aztec look, the gypsy look, the "I just walked out of a GQ Magazine" ad look, and a lot of skulls and cross bones usually accentuated with studs, leather, fringe and more. I love all these different looks but please be careful. Wear what suits you best. Take into consideration, your body type, your skin tone, your personality and what you love wearing.
Show the world who you are and allow your personality to transform into fashion! - AR
The True Definition of Fashion
Fashion has many meanings but the bottom line is literally the final paragraph. Please read, you may find this interesting:
- The make or form of something
- A prevailing custom, usage, or style
- The prevailing style (as in dress) during a particular time
- A garment in such a style <always wears the latest fashions>
- Social standing or prominence especially as signalized by dress or conduct
Fashion is the most general term and applies to any way of dressing, behaving, writing, or performing that is favored at any one time or place.
STYLE often implies a distinctive fashion adopted by people of taste.
MODE suggests the fashion of the moment among those anxious to appear elegant and sophisticated
VOGUE stresses the wide acceptance of a fashion.
FAD suggests caprice in taking up or in dropping a fashion.
RAGE and craze stress intense enthusiasm in adopting a fad.
Any mode of dressing or adornment that is popular during a particular time or in a particular place (i.e., the current style). It can change from one period to the next, from generation to generation. It serves as a reflection of social and economic status, a function that explains the popularity of many styles throughout costume history; in the West, courts have been a major source of fashion. In the 19th and 20th centuries, fashion increasingly became a profitable, international industry as a result of the rise of world-renowned fashion houses and fashion magazines. – (Edited from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/June 19, 2013.)

About Doug Gordon
Artist ~ Photographer ~ Film Hair Stylist
Talented, kind, handsome and humble, Doug is one of the best hair stylists and photographers I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
Doug Gordon is a force to be reckoned with. His iconic hairstyles are works of art and he has the education, passion and experience to prove it. He has trained and studied at a few places like Oregon, L.A. New York, Las Vegas, San Diego. Doug has been very inspired by Vidal Sassoon and became at Network Educator with Bumble & Bumble.
With his brilliance and talent he did period hair for that little movie called The Titanic. He worked on the set of the movie in Mexico for over nine months. He worked on some other Movie and productions in San Diego. He quickly pursued his dreams years ago opening up his own salon's Douglas Hair Craft in the 1970's and 80's. He then advanced to a holistic and photography design salon called United Hair Force. In the 90's he created Fashion on Location a beauty wellness service for homes and hospitals. This exciting experience was leading him to learn and experience many things that make Doug, Doug.
When you look at a photograph Doug has taken, you know he has taken it. He has a gift with photography and magic hands with hair. With his "out of the box" thinking, He seems to take both hair and photography to a whole new inspirational level.
Please take some time and view Doug's powerful iconic photos. Now working at East of Bali Salon in Carlsbad He said "I have a passion for fashion photography and hair design from the past present and future."
"My goal is to give great haircuts and color service to my clients, to help increase their confidence and energy and trends should influence your style not dictate it."
If you're in need of an inspirational hair stylist, Doug is your man. When I was in need of a refreshing change I went directly to Doug and to my surprise he turned out to be an inspirational genius. I knew he was a great well known stylist but the experience and outcome of my gorgeous hair exceeded any expectations I had. I loved my hair so much I even signed rights over to him so he owns my hair!
"I have been one of Doug's top models for many years as well as his Production Manager. I got to experience so many fun hair designs, photo sessions and productions and love to work in front of the camera and behind. I look forward on doing artistic and period research into the past with Doug from the 20's to the 40's the present and future. I also look forward to upcoming photo shoots with Doug, creating anything we want to. Having a great experience Time Traveling with us!"

Dancer, showgirl, and silent film star, Louise Brooks came to Hollywood, leaving behind a tragic childhood, and quickly shot to fame in pictures such as Pandora's Box and Diary of a Lost Girl. Louise Brooks laughed when she was called an icon, refused to smile in photographs, claimed to hate Hollywood, and popularized the bob hair cut in the 1920's. Louise Brooks is without a doubt one of the most iconic style and silent film stars of all time. The Bob hair cut was and is still one of the the most outstanding cut's ever. I still as a hairstylist am cutting this shape on my clients today! The 20's was a real revolution in fashion that will last. Today with the return of movies as The Great Gatsby this will keep us remembering how fantastic that era was in fashion and the creative spirit for joy of living let's not forget the passion of the The Roaring Twenties!
Bumble and bumble Thickening Collection
Style to the fullest this summer!
Two New products Full Form Mousse for outstanding body and Cream Contour for texture and definition in your hair! Ask Doug when you come into Bali how he makes the cool waves. Have a great summer and have fun!
NEW PRODUCT ALERT:
Want to get a a purple panel, pink panel, blue panel put in your hair? Some hair stylists are doing this anyway with permanent color but we now have the option to do it oursleves on a short term basis!
What is really is is hair color in a powder form and you can wash it out when you do not want it any longer. How easy is that right?
I see all the top brands are selling them for anywhere from $19.99 to $100+ but I picked up my little pop of color up at Rite Aid for $6.99. This one is made by Scunci. It comes with a small hair instrument that looks like a hair straightener. You place the chalk in the color applier and then have fun!
What it is:
A vibrant, temporary, easy-to-apply hair color in powder form.
What it does:
This Hair Shadow temporarily adds a pop of color to the hair without any long-lasting commitment. It is super easy to apply—simply rub the product onto hair, seal it with spray or heat to keep color on, and when you're ready, wash it out. Playful and creative, it is available in a range of eye-catching shades.
Available at places like Ulta, Ultra, Sephora, more beauty supply boutiques, CVS, Rite Aid and of course online. All of the top of the line hair and make up companies jumped on board and are available there or on their online stores. At Ulta they have their own brand of hair chalk with a rainbow and more color scheme for $99 and below. You at least have to try it.
Special Tip: After testing several brands, I ended up picking out my favorite one from Rite Aid. I realized that they all worked the same, you just have to do it properly. Other than that your best bet would be Ulta for the wide selection and variety of colors.
If you do try it, please send us a picture and let us know how it goes?
I know Doug has created a fabulous post about this topic but I am as passionate as he is about this film.
The Great Gatsby 1974 VS The Great Gatsby 2013
Robert Redford VS Leonardo DiCaprio
Short Summary:"Nick Carraway, a young Midwesternernow living on Long Island, finds himself fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish lifestyle of his neighbor, the nouveau riche Jay Gatsby. He is drawn into Gatsby's circle, becoming a witness to obsession and tragedy." (IMBD.com 2013)
When I heard they were recreating The Great Gatsby I was in shock. I was excited and a little upset that they may destroy the movie. I was intrigued on what they will enhance in the movie but most of all I am excited to see the sets, the costumes, the jewelry......The Great Gatsby.
Who could improve such a powerful, romantic, beautifully chaotic film? On May 10, 2013 we will find out and give you a full report.
Can DiCaprio really take over the great Jay Gatsby? Can Daisy Buchanan take the place of MiaFarrow? All I can say is WOW. I am so excited to see this movie I think I will go wait in line now.

Product Alert……Marrakesh Oil – a Hair Styling Elixir
One day getting my hair done Doug began to tell me about this fascinating new hair product. I dried it and I am addicted. Not only does it keep my hair frizz free, soft and shiny throughout the day, it also works as a styling product. When I curl my hair it holds my curls better. I love this product.
A powerful, beauty enhancing oil from Morocco that gives the hair a brilliant shine as well as moisturizes and conditions the hair naturally. This thermal styling oil absorbs quickly into the hair without leaving your hair greasy or weighted down. It controls frizz throughout the day and protects your hair from the harsh environment.
-Apply evenly to damp hair and style as usual
-Can also be applied on dry hair after it has been styled for a super smooth & shiny finish.
